United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA has always been at the fore-front of the fight against fistula world-wide.
As the National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Abakaliki made its arrangements to commence Fistula Repair Pool Efforts, UNFPA, it their usual timely response, did not hesitate to support the Centre by donating fistula repair kits to ensure smooth surgeries.

It should be noted that this was not the first time UNFPA has donated to the hospital for similar operations.
The Medical Director, Professor Johnson A. Obuna, in a brief statement, expressed his profound gratitude to the donors and called on other good-spirited organisations and philanthropists to emulate the good gestures of the donors.
